Sam Clifton and his wife Michelle own and operate Millstone Custom Homes. The couple teams up to provide their clients with outstanding design-build services. It's their Millstone mission to bring new homes to life for couples and families. The Cliftons have three children attending Nixa Public Schools: Taylor, (16), Dustin (13), Nathan (9).
Sam has a proven track record of professional excellence and community service. Most recently, Sam was selected by ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to build the home for a Greene County family in July – an uncompensated project. As the show’s producer pointed out that Millstone was selected because of their desire to give back to the community:
“Conrad Ricketts, executive producer of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” explained that the show’s producers look beyond a company simply being a quality builder. "Millstone Homes is a family-run business that takes pride in building not only communities, but neighborhoods,” Ricketts said. “Their devotion to giving back is what first caught our eye, and their long-standing tradition of charity and community involvement assured us that they were the perfect builder for this project." – Excerpt from the official news release, June 29, 2009
Sam is a graduate of Missouri State University with a degree in Construction Management. He’s been recognized for his outstanding contributions as one of the “40 under 40” by the Springfield Business Journal. He is a member of the Southeast Rotary Club, a board member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield, and currently serves as a Sunday School teacher for his church. He has obtained his Certified Green Professional designation from the National Association of Home Builders and his homes have received multiple “417 Home of the Year” awards.
